To improve the quality of teaching and learning in order to raise student achievement 

~ GOALS ~

v      To recruit candidates representing all genders, races, and content areas at the elementary and secondary levels

v      To support and increase the number of candidates through the certification process in a collaborative, reflective professional learning community

v      To increase incentives for recruiting and retaining quality teachers

v      To provide ongoing leadership training for the National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs) to support the improvement of teaching and learning in schools

v      To design an Action Research Project collecting data to provide evidence of the impact NBCTs have on student learning

v      To encourage NBCTs to serve in low-performing, high-needs schools and become teacher leaders at the local, state, and national levels
