MESSAGE FROM OUR
PRINCIPAL:
Longfellow is located in central Colorado Springs. However, our
students come from all over the city. We have over 50 students who permit into
Longfellow each year and several of our students are bussed to Longfellow. A
commitment to the well being of the whole child is at the heart of our
instruction. We are committed to providing a caring and productive environment
where students feel safe and appreciated and differences are respected. Parents
are encouraged to partner with us in providing the best learning opportunities
for all.
Our mission is to produce citizens who communicate effectively, gather
and use information, make responsible decisions and adapt to the future. Our
success comes when students, parents, teachers, and the community work together
for the good of our students.
The Longfellow goal
and tradition is to maintain a caring environment while fostering academic
excellence. We honor literacy, fine Arts and experiential education as a
way to help students remain life long learners and active, responsible citizens.
