Introduction to Computers 1
Course Number: BEM.CMPTR1

Overview 
This course includes includes lessons and experiences in keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheet and database development, telecommunications and computer ethics. Students will gain a basic understanding of each of these applications and will discover the role technology plays in society. Students will investigate copyright laws, computer ethics and careers in technology.

Reading Writing

RW1.0 Students read and understand a variety of materials.
RW1.1 use a full range of strategies to comprehend materials such as technical writing, newspapers, magazines, poetry, short stories, plays, novels, essays, speeches, autobiographies, and first-person historical documents.
