Mrs. Walton, Mr. Crosby, and Mr. Garland will be visiting with freshmen on Monday, September 14th and Tuesday, September 15th in their science classrooms. The purpose of the 30 minute presentation/discussion is 1) to introduce ourselves as guidance counselors and 2) to help the newest students to Doherty with transition to high school. We will be discussing the following topics: Transition Issues, Where to get help, Credits, Role of counselors, Role of Peer Counselors, Academic Prep for Future, and Involvement in clubs, community service , etc. We really look forward to starting the year off on a positive note!
