Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Beginners
This class is designed to teach you the basic skills of using Photoshop CS3. Topics covered will include opening images, resizing photos, proper cropping techniques, saving and organizing photos and using the toolbox layers and palettes. The instructor will also briefly cover proper digital camera setup to maximize the potential of your photos. Editing photos is easier when you learn how to use Photoshop. Computer Novice I
Directed at the new computer user, this class provides a basic understanding of Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system to include system hardware and software. Topics include the desktop, parts of the window, moving and sizing windows, My Documents and My Computer, files, folders, drives, data storage, file maintenance, and an overview of computer parts and peripherals, such as printers. This class is strong on computer terminology associated with the use of Microsoft products and helps the student to learn the difference between the operating system and applications. This class also provides a basic understanding of the Internet. Topics include modems (56k, DSL, and cable), Web browsers (Internet Explorer and Netscape), Internet service providers, surfing strategies, secure transactions, cookies, anti-virus software and firewalls.

This course follows Computer Novice I. It covers the basic use of Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, and PowerPoint utilizing Office 2003. MS Word covers creating, saving, and finding files; working with menus and toolbars, inserting text, basic formatting, drawing objects, and many other topics essential in the day-to-day use. MS Excel includes a basic understanding of Excel 2003, Microsoft’s powerful spreadsheet application. Areas discussed include the Excel 2003 environment, entering and editing data, using simple formulas, using functions, formatting text and numbers, working with multiple worksheets, creating charts, and printing spreadsheets. MS PowerPoint provides a solid foundation for using Power Point 2003, Microsoft’s presentation application. Topics include creating a presentation, inserting objects and hyperlinks, adding animation and many other subjects essential in the use of PowerPoint 2003.

Veilarama: Exercise and Dance **New
Join us for an hour of aerobic exercise, dance and fun. Students will use ballet, jazz dance and interpretive movement, all choreographed with veils. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and ballet slippers or light sneakers. Students must supply a piece of light-weight chiffon. Please, consult with instructor on first day of class. Bring bottled water. No previous dance experience necessary.

¡Viva Zumba!
Tired of the same old routine at the gym? Logged enough miles on the treadmill or elliptical? Looking for something to spice up your workout routine or wanting a fun way to burn off those holiday calories? If so, Zumba is just what you need! Zumba is a fun, dance-oriented fitness class like nothing you have ever experienced. All fitness levels are welcome and no previous dance experience is necessary. The international music and rhythms of salsa, merengue, cumbia and more will have you sweating, laughing and having a fantastic time while you burn calories. “Ditch the workout, join the party!” is our motto.

Maximum Enrollments
If your desired class is full, you will have the option to have your name placed on a waiting list.  

Cancellations and Refunds
You will be notified if a class is cancelled, and you will have the option of:
    Enrolling in another activity.
    A full refund will be given when a request for a refund is made before first class.
    A refund of 75% of the class fee will be given if the request is made after the first session. 
    No refunds will be given after the second class session.
    Please allow three to four weeks for the refund to be processed.

    Class instructors, dates, fees, and location are subject to change.
